Mom & Dad thought everyone was kidding when they said that Rylie would be up at 5 am on Xmas morning, but they weren't. Luckily, she didn't notice that Santa Clause had already been there and she was shuffled off to our room to watch cartoons before she woke the rest of the house up. She was amazed and had lots of fun opening her gifts. She must've been a really good girl this year because Santa brought her all kinds of fun toys.

Christmas Eve
Aunt Kristy and Grandma & Grandpa Watt came in to stay with us for the holiday. We all pigged out on great food (well most of us anyway, Rylie did her usual and didn't eat much) and had a great time. Then after we got Rylie down for the night (which wasn't easy - she was having so much fun playing with Grandpa's gloves on the air mattresses), Dad had the pleasure of putting toys together so they would be ready for Rylie on Xmas morning.

Gymnastics...The next Bridgett Sloan in the making :)
Indianapolis AP- Today marked the first day of training for the 2024 Olympic Games in a city to be determined at a later date...a much later date :) Rylie had a blast just running all over the gym doing whatever she felt she wanted to do. It is basically 45 minutes of chaos with mom and dad getting worn out by the time the dust settles. We are hoping she enjoys it and continues to build on her very rusty skills over the years to come...they are a lot of fun to watch.

Trick or Treat Time
This was Rylie's first year to go trick or treating. Dad took her around the neighborhood. They had a great time together. She wasn't for sure what to do at first, but it didn't take long for her to get the hang of it. She was so adorable. Her costume had a hat, but she wanted nothing to do with it. It took all we had to get the one picture with it on.
Pumpkin Carving
We decided to make the carving of Rylie's pumpkin a whole family affair. Rylie helped Mom clean out the insides while Mom and Dad took turns carving the face (Dad did most of the carving). We think we did a pretty good job since it was Rylie's first time and neither Mom nor Dad had done one since they were kids.
